This year's Gawai (Harvest Festival) has been exciting for #teamstyllar. We did our second contactless styling project and had the pleasure of dressing Alena Murang, a Sarawakian musician for her live YouTube show at Jao Tim Kuala Lumpur. If there's anything that we learned from MCO/CMCO is that providing styling services virtually is possible.
We were ecstatic to have Malaysian designer label Afiq M to collaborate for the look that we had for Alena. We went with an all-white ensemble decked in contemporary and tribal accessories in keeping with Alena Murang's cultural identity.
The styling ideation process included several sketches before we delivered final accessories to Alena to try on for our scheduled virtual fitting. It was an experience like non other for sure!
